Jim Brickley Appointed Director of Engineering

Conventus Polymers LLC, a leading distributor of high-performance engineering thermoplastics, has announced the appointment of Jim Brickley as Director of Engineering, based in Charlotte, N.C. He will support the Eastern region in a range of industries, assisting customers in material selection, problem solving, supply chain solutions, and molding.
“Conventus is excited to have Jim join the team; he brings our organization a rare combination between his breadth of experiences, technical expertise in plastics engineering, and strong commercial skills rooted in problem solving,” said John Jorgensen, President of Conventus Polymers. “He will be a key resource for our customers.”
Brickley is a 28-year plastics industry veteran, starting his career in 1992 on the machine shop floor. He worked for 15 years at GE Plastics as a Senior Technical Development Engineer, Application Development Engineer, and Technical Sales Specialist. He lived in Detroit for 20 years and was instrumental in growing automotive sales through technical problem solving. Brickley also served in a Director role at Polymer Technology and Services (PTS), which was later acquired by AMCO Polymers. At PTS, he developed a strong background in nonautomotive industries including telecommunications, packaging, water solutions, and medical.
Brickley earned degrees in Automotive, Mechanical, and Plastic Engineering all from Penn State University.
